  • Professional Photographer Magazine Cover!

We are very honored to have won the Professional Photographer Magazine Cover Contest!

I always thought this would make a great cover. It was an outtake from a Holiday Cover we shot for CityDog Magazine. Although it didn't quite look right for CityDog, I think it looks pretty amazing on the front of Professional Photographer. I could not be more thrilled with this honor!

Sofie & Cypris | Seabrook Pet Photography

I love Seabrook. It’s always so relaxing and peaceful. We don’t get to spend as much time as we would like to out there but this weekend we had a couple of great events to go to. One was a Yappy Hour at The Salty Dog to help raise money for Canine Cancer. If you haven’t been to The Salty Dog, it’s a MUST STOP if you are in the area. Super fun merchandise, an awesome fun owner, and they have a great bathing spot in the back for your dogs after a day on the beach. The other reason I was there was to photograph Sofie & Cypris. Their mama is expecting a new bundle of boy in the next day or two, I couldn’t be more thrilled for them! Hopefully Sofie & Cypris will enjoy having a little baby boy around the house, having a kid can be quite the adjustment for everyone! I am glad we got to spend the day out around Seabrook and at the beach photographing everyone, it was such a lovely day and I can’t wait to get back. Here’s a few from the session!

Newcastle Pet Photography | Bailey & Banjo | Commercial Photography

I have posted a few sneak peeks from this shoot but I wanted to do a little blog post about it and show you where it ended up. I have been doing a bit of work with the Newport Hills Animal Hospital over the summer, photographing their hospital, staff, doctors and then this project. It’s been a great deal of fun working with everyone and I am looking forward to many more projects with them, big and small. This is Bailey and Banjo’s clinic, they never mind coming in and always get the best care. We are thankful we have a place to go that we know will take great care of our pups.

This past fall they were looking for an image to use on some of their upcoming products they would be selling, and as a main web graphic for their website. I was more than happy to help, especially when they wanted to incorporate their beautifully restored Chevy pickup truck. I should probably have the details on this truck but I’ll have to update the post when I find out.

We kept meaning to get together and our schedules just wouldn’t match up. One afternoon I got a call about doing it that day. It worked out perfectly even though a storm was due in that night. We raced out there and got some great shots. They skies were perfect! I know you have all seen this shot, it ended up as a huge 30×40 canvas on the main wall in their lobby. It’s hard to miss, so next time you’re there, you can see it in person.

But in the end, that was not the image that won for the bottles. We had a bunch of fun with the dogs, Chester and Jasmine. They were both so sweet and so cooperative, I wish we had more time to play around. But with the storm coming and the light fading fast, we got a few great shots and some that definitely worked for the purposes of the shoot. Here are a few others with the one image that did make the cut. The end result can be seen below. I think overall it ended up being a fantastic shoot with a great end result!

Holiday Gift Shopping for your dog | Issaquah Pet Photography

Frenchie wears a cute jacket just in time for winter
How adorable is this jacket!? I had a great model the day of this shoot for this wonderful little handmade doggie jacket that includes a little belt. Harlow did great and was a champ through the entire shoot. Have you gone shopping yet for your pup this year? There are a ton of great gift ideas in the Holiday 2011 issue of CityDog Magazine, including more details about this coat!

You can pick up yours at a local pet store such as MudBay, or even better get yourself a subscription! That’s a gift for the both of you! Also if you haven’t joined yet, sign up on the new CityDog website so you are in the know about all the great dog events coming up like where to get your picture taken with your pup and santa, adoption events and the CityDog Yappy Howlidays Muttmixer on December 7th!

If you haven’t ever been to a CityDog Muttmixer, you are missing out! Tons of fun with friends and pups, a little bubbly and some apps, it is a great break in the week and never disappoints! I’ll be there photographing the event, so please come say hi and get some great memories of you and your friends! Here are some from the Muttmixer at the W Hotel earlier this year.

I sure hope to see you there!

Santa Paws at Molbak’s | Woodinville Pet Photography | Bailey & Banjo

Santa howls with a dog at Santa PawsWhat a great afternoon out at Molbak’s last Saturday for Santa Paws. Thank you to Molbak’s for having the event in their beautiful store, and to the Seattle Humane Society for having me help out, it was a wonderful day. Also a big thanks to Claus, who was a ton of fun to work with and great with everyone who came out! Finally, a big thanks to all of you for coming out and helping the Seattle Humane Society. I am not sure of the total amount but there were well over 100 people who had their pictures taken with Santa and I also heard a few pets were adopted which is fantastic! The files have been posted, you should be able to download them directly from the site and I believe you can order actual prints from that site as well. Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
