I have posted a few sneak peeks from this shoot but I wanted to do a little blog post about it and show you where it ended up. I have been doing a bit of work with the Newport Hills Animal Hospital over the summer, photographing their hospital, staff, doctors and then this project. It’s been a great deal of fun working with everyone and I am looking forward to many more projects with them, big and small. This is Bailey and Banjo’s clinic, they never mind coming in and always get the best care. We are thankful we have a place to go that we know will take great care of our pups.
This past fall they were looking for an image to use on some of their upcoming products they would be selling, and as a main web graphic for their website. I was more than happy to help, especially when they wanted to incorporate their beautifully restored Chevy pickup truck. I should probably have the details on this truck but I’ll have to update the post when I find out.
We kept meaning to get together and our schedules just wouldn’t match up. One afternoon I got a call about doing it that day. It worked out perfectly even though a storm was due in that night. We raced out there and got some great shots. They skies were perfect! I know you have all seen this shot, it ended up as a huge 30×40 canvas on the main wall in their lobby. It’s hard to miss, so next time you’re there, you can see it in person.
But in the end, that was not the image that won for the bottles. We had a bunch of fun with the dogs, Chester and Jasmine. They were both so sweet and so cooperative, I wish we had more time to play around. But with the storm coming and the light fading fast, we got a few great shots and some that definitely worked for the purposes of the shoot. Here are a few others with the one image that did make the cut. The end result can be seen below. I think overall it ended up being a fantastic shoot with a great end result!
