  • Professional Photographer Magazine Cover!

We are very honored to have won the Professional Photographer Magazine Cover Contest!

I always thought this would make a great cover. It was an outtake from a Holiday Cover we shot for CityDog Magazine. Although it didn't quite look right for CityDog, I think it looks pretty amazing on the front of Professional Photographer. I could not be more thrilled with this honor!

Meet Austin | Seattle Humane Society | Bailey & Banjo – Bellevue Pet Photography

Oh Austin, what a doll! He is a Labrador Mix, and was all sorts of excited to be heading out for our walk! For an older guy he sure did wear me out! Up and down the steps, down to the creek. We went up and down a few times! I finally got a few minutes of his time after we wore each other out to get a few pics. He even laid down for me while I got a few of him relaxed. Austin is all sorts of sweet and would make a great companion! He’s available now at the Seattle Humane Society, and think you are definitely going to love him! Please forward on this blog post to anyone you know who may be interested, and let Austin know I said hi when you see him!

Friday Night Dog Love | Bailey & Banjo | Week 11

Bailey…snoring at my feet.

Banjo…making progress on his antler from last week.

Me…Friday Night Dog Love. Thanks a lot guys for the help!

Lucky for me, I opened up one of my favorite sites, Etsy, and these artists flew off the page and I knew it had to be the next Friday Night Dog Love.

sterling silver jewelry puppyStickMan Jewelry is based out of Montreal, Canada and have been making jewelry for over fifteen years! Their designs are fun, clean and I completely fell in love with their TINY puppy necklace! So little, so cute! This little guy is made out of sterling silver and has a nice satin finish which is awesome for me since I don’t do gold.

They have a bunch of other animals and a lot of other dogs. Look how cute this Dachshund is! Love!

There is a lot more information on the Stick Man Creations website, including a store locator where you can find them nearby. The closest stores, locally to us, would be in British Columbia, but who doesn’t love taking a trip to see our neighbors to the north?! I also noticed their only shop in the U.S. is in San Luis Obispo, my old college town…Go Mustangs!

Head to the jewellery section and drool over their adorable collection. Finally check out the Product Information section that tells about all the work and attention to detail that go in to each piece.

There is definitely something for everyone and these would all make awesome gifts! Mothers day is just around the corner!

Meet Sheenin | Seattle Humane Society | Bailey & Banjo – Bellevue Pet Photography

I was down at the Seattle Humane Society today and fell in love with Sheenin at first glance. What a sweet sweet face! When I got him out of his kennel he was all love! Sheenin was snuggling up to me and really was loving his chest and ears scratched. He was super gentle, had great energy and really enjoyed being outdoors. Awesome on a leash, he would walk a few steps in front of me and slow down and check to see if I was still there…so cute! We had a great time getting pictures, and it was all I could do not to take him home myself. If you get a chance, check out Sheenin and his kennel mate Stormy. They get along really well and are both sweet, wonderful dogs!

Meet Stormy | Seattle Humane Society | Bailey & Banjo – Bellevue Pet Photography

I got to hang out with Stormy today and even though she’s 9 years old, she is all lab! She loved having her ears scratched and mushed, sat down right next to me and let me love on her. I slowed down and I got the paw for more. She was a riot! Great on our walk, she loved the trails and was leading the way up and down and all around the Seattle Humane Society. Head on down to the Humane Society and meet Stormy, she is super sweet and when I was there was sharing a space with the super adorable Sheenin. You could not go wrong taking both these cuties home!

Friday Night Dog Love | Bailey & Banjo | Week 10

Picture of dog and a chew toy antlerWe sure found a winner for this week’s Friday Night Dog Love! Bailey and Banjo are both loving the Antler Chews we got them from Paddywack in Mill Creek. We have never had anything like it, they have always been into Rawhides so we never tried anything different. But they were so interesting looking, and when they told us they would be safe for the dogs, we thought we’d give them a try!

Banjo played with his for about twenty minutes not sure what to do with it until he got the hang of it and has been pretty involved with it since. Bailey loved it too and they both have been laying together just relaxing. Hmm, I’m thinking this is going to be great when new people come over!

Picture of yellow lab with a dog toyI read up a little about Antler Chews when I got home, and there was a good article about it at PetExpertise, with some great tips at the bottom. Mostly it’s not something to leave with your dog in the yard, they still need to beBailey and Banjo, two yellow labs eating a bonesupervised so they don’t choke or get SO into it they bust a tooth. Also some great tips about what to do if your dog isn’t that interested in the antler. After experiencing what we did today with Bailey and Banjo, I don’t know how that’s even possible!

If you’re up in the Mill Creek area, definitely check out Paddywack and pick up some antlers, they have lots of other great toys and supplies for cats and dogs and they have great artwork above the main counter that is rotated out every six weeks. It definitely keeps it fun and exciting to see what you’re going to find next. You can also find Paddywack on Facebook!

Let me know if you get some antlers and what your dogs think of them!
